Summer Production

Following the spectacular success of our 50th Anniversary performance in the summer of 2017, the Oldland Players are delighted to announce that we will be returning to Cully Hall Farm this summer for another outside extravaganza.

'The 39 Steps'

by John Buchan - Adapted by Patrick Barlow

From an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon

27th - 29th June 2019

Curtain-up 8:00pm

Synopsis

This version of “The 39 Steps”, based on John Buchan’s novel and Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic movie, follows the fortunes of Richard Hannay - an all-action hero with stiff upper lip and a miraculous knack for getting out of sticky situations.

This tongue-in-cheek adaptation - complete with murders, shootings, train chases, plane crashes, trilbied heavies, and villains with little fingers missing - makes for a fast paced and thrilling adventure.

The Oldland Players will have plenty of chairs on hand, but we also welcome blankets, picnics, deck chairs and umbrellas(!) so you can find your own place on the lawn to enjoy this production.

N.B. We have just added a large marquee and other facilities in order to keep the audience dry in the event of rain

Please note this is an outdoor production with very limited disabled access.
