Synopsis

Synopsis

A police station in the early 1960s and women police officers are starting to play a bigger part. New recruit Jill Colman is taken under the wings of Sergeant Helen Carter and kindly probation officer Mrs Oliver. Chief Superintendent Horrocks of the C.I.D. believes that women should not be in the police service. But when a gunman escapes from prison he is forced to use a policewoman to help with his capture.
